James Steimle, Renaissance Man

Educator, Writer, Adventurer

James Steimle is the author of numerous works of fiction.  Twice his stories have received awards.  His tales have been reprinted, anthologized, and published in award-winning magazines.  Due to the strange part of him that was a glutton for punishment, while pursuing a master's of Education he also busied himself with the work necessary to obtain an MFA in Creative Writing as well--not that such a thing really matters to anyone besides those who likewise earned a Masters in Fine Arts.

For James Steimle, fiction is akin to playing outside in the backyard as a child.  "Pretend" is powerful and relaxing.

The following are two of James Steimle's stories available free on the web.  Enjoy!

The crowd of four boys gasped and fell silent.
